Once again our president pre-empts the most watched prime time television show in order to speak directly to his adoring public and sell his plan to bring this once free nation deeper into the depths of socialism. As his awestruck audience inhales his very essence, the man the mainstream news media has championed as the messiah of the masses will further his quest to complete the socialization of all private business well ahead of schedule. The plan is coming together oh so smoothly, and the best part is that his adoring public is totally clueless as to his real intentions.
Sound like something out of a science fiction novel? Sadly it isn’t. It is happening today, the 24th of March 2009 at 8:00PM EDT. America’s favorite talent show, American Idol, is being pre-empted for the messiah’s news conference. The same thing happened last week. This is not a coincidence, folks, this is by design! And if you buy into it, you will be taken for such a ride that not even the old Disneyland E-tickets could come close to matching. Down we spiral into the depths of the socialization of the United States of America, ever so deeper and ever so farther away from the public control of our government that our forefathers purposefully designed into their unique governmental system.
Do we the people want to continue on this route? And if not, just what can we do about it? We can bring our governmental system into the 21st Century is what we can do.
How?
1. Abolish ALL political parties.
2. Return the appointment of Senators to the Governors of the states whom they will represent.
3. Separate the Judiciary Branch from the Executive Branch by making the Judiciary a vote in position.
4. Replace the office of President with a Presidential Council.
5. Bring the pay and benefits of politicians down to the level of everyday folks.
That’s how.
That is exactly how to take the D.C. elite down off of their ivory pedestals that we the people have allowed them to build for themselves with our complacency.
We can start by calling and emailing the white house and our political representatives to protest against the current policies of American Socialization.

Amen, GA! I've been screaming from the treetops for months now about the travesty that is occurring to our Republic. Concerned citizens need to get off of their butts and act now before the destruction is irreversible. I'm going to do everything I can to make sure this great nation doesn't go down in flames on my watch.

I have been screaming loud and long about starting an impeachment investigation. I goofed and sent one of those letter to the white house yesterday.
Maybe that is what he will talk about tonight. I won't be watching it since I am taking my bride out to dinner(we are still on our honeymoon even after 40+ years).
I appreciate your extreme energy, however, it is completely futile to expend it against anything federal.

You know a lot about economics. Then you should know that each of the 50 states could not possibly survive economically on its own, so that option is out.
I know that you and I disagree on a lot of things, and I have resigned myself to the fact that I will never change your mind on a lot of things, however this is one thing that I will never back down from - We The People MUST retake the control of our form of government if we want to continue to remain a free nation . . . The only truly free nation on this planet. Turning our backs and surrendering IS NOT AN OPTION!
Lichtenstein survives rather well, as does Switzerland, Luxembourg, Monaco, the islands in the Caribbean, the Vatican, etc. etc.
So I'm not sure why you feel this is any different for a State.
I feel, however, that the USA will dissolve regardless - the question will be whether it will be orderly or not.
Spending effort in keeping it together is futile.
Helping to ensure an orderly dissolution might be prudent.

How about adding to your action list.
We need to have another constitutional convention where we re-ratify said item, and the bill of rights. Bear in mind, doing so will void many Supreme Court rulings, and turn our government on its head.
